Eric Lloyd Wright Architect
Eric Lloyd Wright,
architect, of founder of the Wright Way Organic Research center in
Malibu, CA. During Eric's early years in architecture, he was an
apprentice to his grandfather Frank Lloyd Wright, and father, Lloyd
Wright. His portfolio includes restorations to Frank Lloyd Wright and
Lloyd Wright works, as well as residences and institutional buildings
of his own deign. Eric completed the major construction of MAHMA in
2001. The architecture was drawn from multi-generational relationships
between the Hollywood Newman family of musicians and the innovative
Wright family of architects. (Eric's father built Alfred Newman's 1950
Pacific Palisades home, where MAHMA's Maria Newman grew up, resulting
in multiple venues within the home). Architecture buffs will find it
interesting that another Eric Lloyd Wright residential design is set
nest door to MAHMA and is owned by Alfred Newman Jr., Maria Newman's
brother. Eric's current focus is on the evolution of Organic
Architecture and Green Building design. His design philosophy is
rooted in the integration of ecology, social responsibly and beauty.
